The same number written the same way means two different things
A dot separates thousands in some places and decimals in others. With two decimals context usually settles the ambiguity; with three, 1.250 is as believable as one thousand two hundred and fifty as it is as a dinar and a quarter. The format comes from the language of the page.

Structured data wants the bare figure, with a decimal point, no thousands separator and the decimals the currency actually has. If the markup comes from the same string painted on screen, you end up publishing a decorated value the search engine reads as best it can.
A missing decimal in a search result is a promise
A search engine keeps what it read and shows it days later. If what it read was a trimmed figure, the person arrives with one price in mind and meets another at checkout. There is no penalty for that; there is abandonment, which shows up in no report.
Price filters generate addresses that someone indexes
A range filter built in hundredth steps produces empty ranges and overlapping ranges when the currency runs in thousandths. Each combination usually ends up with its own crawlable address. You decide which ranges exist and which stay out of the index, before publishing them.
