One letter, four shapes
In Arabic the same letter is drawn differently depending on where it falls in the word: at the start, in the middle, at the end or on its own. And some pairs merge into a single sign. A font without those shapes leaves the letters disconnected and the text looks broken even when the content is right. That is why the family is chosen and tested with real text before any layout work begins.
Arabic does not fit in the same box
The type scale is defined twice. At the same pixel size Arabic takes more effort to read than Latin, and at the same line height the marks that sit above and below the letter get clipped against the next line. Sizes, leading and spacing are set per script instead of being inherited from the Latin design.
Two type families, one loading budget
An Arabic font file carries far more drawings than a Latin one, because every letter travels with all of its variants. Serving both families in full is paid for by whoever arrives on a phone. We cut each file down to the characters actually in use, serve it from your own domain and measure the result with field data, not with a footnote.
It is checked by someone who reads it
We do the typesetting and the build; the Arabic copy is written by a native speaker and the final check is done by someone who reads it every day. A screenshot approved by somebody who cannot tell a properly joined word from a broken one proves nothing. We say so before starting because it affects the schedule: that person is needed, and on many projects you are the one who provides them.
