How we work in Munich
What cannot wait for version two
Almost everything can be postponed in a minimum product. Four things cannot, if it is going into a company that looks: separate accounts per person, permissions by role, a record of who did what, and a way to delete a customer's data. Putting them in at the start is cheap; later it is not.
A pilot runs on data that does not hurt
The fastest way in is a narrow pilot, with dummy or anonymised data and a small group of users. You learn almost the same and permission to start is far easier to get. Afterwards, the conversation about real data arrives with a demonstration behind it.
The purchasing clock is not the development clock
The product can be ready in eight weeks and the authorisation to install it arrive five months later. They are two calendars running in parallel, and it is worth starting the second one the same day as the first. Handing over the technical documentation early is what stops development finishing and then waiting.
What gets built for the pilot stays
Laravel, React and React Native. The pilot is not a mock-up to be thrown away: it is the base of the product, with the infrastructure and the repository in your name from the first commit. If you raise a round later, whoever looks will find the code where it should be.
