Branding and Content en Lisbon
How we work in Lisbon
The page that takes the hit is almost never the home page
When something gets shared widely, the traffic arrives on one article, one product page or one specific post. It is usually a page written without imagining it would be the first impression for thousands of people: no explanation of who you are, no route towards the product, and nothing to do once it has been read. That gap is closed with content, not with infrastructure.
The bad-day message is part of the brand
The error page, the overload notice and the apology email are almost always written at eleven at night, in a rush and on the defensive. Written in the cold, in your own voice and without blaming anyone, they say more about a company than half a corporate website. We leave them written and filed alongside the rest of the system.
European Portuguese is not something a translator solves
A brand is decided in details a machine translation cannot see: how people are addressed, the level of formality, how a direct instruction sounds. We set the tone and the terminology with you, and the final text is signed off by someone with European Portuguese as their first language. It costs more than translating and it is the difference between sounding local and sounding imported.
The important piece is published before, not during
If you know the date of the launch, the trade fair or the campaign, that day's content is finished the week before and goes up when nobody is watching. Publishing hot means clearing caches and touching templates with the traffic already coming in, which is the worst imaginable moment to edit anything, and it is worth deciding in advance who is allowed to publish that day.
