Branding and Content en Porto
How we work in Porto
The name describes today and lasts twenty years
A name that says exactly what you sell today helps at the beginning and gets in the way when the catalogue grows or the product moves. The same goes for one carrying a city or a technology inside it. There is nothing wrong with choosing that way, but you have to know which door it closes, and that comes before it is printed on the invoices.
The palette, the typeface and the tone are reversible
Redoing the visual identity takes work and destroys none of what you have built up: people still recognise the name and still find you. So it is not worth agonising as much over a colour as over a word. Knowing which of the two is the expensive decision changes the order of the project.
Content that ages and content that does not
Part of what you publish expires on its own: prices, integrations, screenshots, feature names. Another part can still be useful five years from now. Separating them while planning avoids rewriting the whole site every time the product changes, which is what happens when everything depends on today's version.
European Portuguese is written by someone who speaks it
We provide the strategy, the system and the review; whoever writes uses the language every day and knows that recycling Brazilian copy shows immediately. We do not pretend to write it, and that boundary is in the quote from the start rather than appearing halfway through.
