The deliverable is the list of decisions ahead of you, each with what reverting it would cost: an afternoon, a quarter or never. The cheap ones get taken now and stop being discussed; the expensive ones stay on the table until the missing information arrives. It is dull and it works.
Waiting too long has a price too
While a decision stays open, the team builds with both options in mind and that is charged as double work. So every deferral carries a date and a note on what information is needed to close it. A decision without a date is not deferred: it is forgotten.
Changing framework is almost never the answer
It is the proposal that comes up most when something is wrong and the one that fixes it least often. Rewriting a live product costs months, stops the rest of the work and usually ends with the same problems written in another language. First we look at where the slowness or the cost actually comes from.
A second opinion on what you have been offered
Reading another supplier's proposal and pointing out what is missing, what is unnecessary and what it commits you to is one of the cheapest jobs we do. We look at two things above all: who will own the code and what would happen if that company stopped answering. We take commission from nobody.
