The document does not open inside your application
The phone passes it to the system viewer or to the mail program, and from that moment your code draws nothing and fixes nothing. Each viewer decides how to show it. That forces the file to leave the server already right, because afterwards there is no way to fix it.
Making it on the phone gives you one file per phone
If the document is composed on the device, it depends on the fonts and the version that particular model has installed, and two clients get different files for the same order. It is generated on the server and the phone only downloads, displays and shares what arrives finished.
Sharing and printing are the real way out
The share button sends the file to messaging, email or a printer, and there the first thing anyone sees is not your design but the file name. On top of that, printing from a phone re-lays out anything that is not a fixed-format document.
Showing a receipt and handing over a file are two things
Inside the application, a receipt works better as a screen: it adapts, it scales up and a screen reader can read it. The file is what you download to keep or to send on. Putting a landscape document on a narrow screen means reading with a magnifying glass.
