A file created without errors is not a correct file
The process finishes, the log says everything went fine and inside there is a table cut in half. That is why we set up an automatic visual check: on every change the same sample documents are generated and compared against a stored image. If something moves, it shows.
The odd cases are the ones that break the sheet
The very long name, the description that runs to four lines, the sixty-row list, the empty list, the figure with many digits. None of them shows up in the demo and all of them show up in the first month. That short list of extreme samples is written on day one and tested.
What a model writes goes into the template
If you use a model to draft the body of a message or the summary of a report, it has to return text and nothing else: not decide the layout, not place the amounts, not invent the format. Otherwise every document comes out slightly different and nobody knows why.
The data in a document comes from different places
The name comes from the CRM, the amounts from billing, the address from the shop. Each system has its own idea of what fits in a field, and the document is where they all appear together in front of the client. Before automating, you agree which system is the authority for each piece of data.
