Mobile Apps en Stockholm
How we work in Stockholm
The store converts your price into kronor
You choose a base amount and the store generates the one for each territory from its own table. In Sweden that produces a figure that is not round and that you did not write. It can be set territory by territory, but deliberately: by default, someone else decides the number.
In-app purchases do not go through your payment provider
When you sell digital content, the store charges the user, keeps its commission and pays you out later in the currency you configured. What the customer sees and what reaches your account do not match, and both figures have to be recorded.
The web price and the app price drift apart on their own
Same product, two channels and two mechanisms: one you set, the other goes through the store's table. If nobody decides which one wins, they diverge and the customer notices. It is decided at the start and written down, even if the conclusion is to accept a difference.
The phone's language and the store's country are not the same thing
A phone set to English with a Swedish account gives two different signals, and the app has to know which one it uses for what. The text comes from one; the currency and the format, from the other. Confusing them gives you a correct price written incorrectly.
