How we work in Toronto
Targeting North America is not targeting Canada
A campaign with North America set as its area spreads the budget wherever it finds the most volume, and that need not be where you sell. On top of that you have to choose whether it shows only to people in the country or also to people searching for it from outside. Two checkboxes, and they change the entire bill.
The account is created once: country, currency and time zone do not change
On the ad platforms, an account's currency and time zone are set when it is opened and cannot be edited afterwards: changing them means opening another account and starting the history from scratch. That is why you open the account, in your name, before anybody touches a bid.
The paid click has to land somewhere
Paying for a Canadian visitor and sending them to a page with prices that name no currency, a phone number formatted for another country and no mention of Canada throws away half the work. The landing page is part of the campaign, not something that happened to be there already.
We charge for the work, not a percentage of the spend
A percentage of the ad spend rewards whoever talks you into raising it. Our incentive has to be the opposite: making each lead cost less, even when that means recommending you lower the budget or switch off a campaign that is going nowhere. The price of the work is agreed up front and does not move because the spend goes up.
