Mobile Apps en Luxembourg
How we work in Luxembourg
A key inside the app is not a secret
An iOS or Android package can be unpacked and the strings inside it read in a few minutes. Any credential embedded there is published. The keys stay on your server and the app authenticates to ask for what it needs: it is more work and it is the only approach that holds up.
The API is the real surface, not the screen
The app is only a client and nobody is obliged to use it: your API can be talked to directly from a terminal. That is why permissions are always checked on the server and never by hiding a button. A check that exists only in the interface is a suggestion.
The signing certificate is the key to the app
Whoever holds the signing certificate can publish updates in your name, and whoever loses it cannot publish any. It lives in your accounts, with a copy stored where the company can retrieve it, not on whichever developer's laptop. It is one of the few unfixable things in this trade.
Every third-party SDK is someone else's code with your permissions
An analytics or advertising library runs inside the app with the same access you granted the app itself. Each one is a decision made by looking at what it sends and where, not something added because it came with the tutorial.
