How we work in Berlin
The inventory almost no company has
How many paid services hold up the operation today, what each one does, who is registered as the account holder and what would break if it disappeared tomorrow. There are almost always surprises: subscriptions nobody uses any more, accounts in the name of someone who left the company, and one critical piece resting on a tiny supplier.
Cost of leaving, not just monthly cost
Next to each supplier goes a second figure: how much work it would take to drop them. That is the one that actually decides. A cheap service you cannot leave ends up more expensive than a costly one you can replace in an afternoon, and hardly anyone makes that comparison until it is too late to make it.
The conclusion is usually to stay, and we say so anyway
With the list in front of you, most dependencies are kept because leaving costs more than it saves. The value of the exercise is not shortening the list: it is no longer having dependencies nobody chose deliberately. A report recommending you change everything is usually a report trying to sell the migration.
And we do not resell any of the alternatives
We are not partners of any vendor and we take no commission for recommending one. We say it here because in a supplier audit the conflict of interest is obvious: whoever audits and also resells has a reason to find problems. If the answer is to change nothing, that is the answer we give.
